Updates to Karakuri Next Format... This may be the end for a while.


Thanks to the release of Evilswarms, the Meta will be changing and it's all thanks to Evilswarm Ophion. To begin with, this card is ridiculously easy to summon and shuts down ANY deck that relies on getting out level 5 or higher monsters with few outs to cards such as this. Which is why this weekend will be used to change my Karakuri deck to work around this menace. I have 2 or 3 ideas to go about this, while still maintaining the Karakuri theme. One radical idea is to change the speed of the deck to a much slower playstyle; going to see if I can work in Karakuri Showdown Castle and Runaway Karakuri. With Castle on the field, Haipa and Kuick can run over Ophion assuming Infestation Pandemic is not on the field(which it more than likely will be), which leaves Runaway Karakuri. It's a quickplay spell that can increase a Karakuri's attack by 1000. Karakuri Cash Shed may be seeing an appearance since Pandemic is a big factor on Karakuri trying to beat Ophion. Regardless, I'll get a list together and see what I can do to answer this problem...

...I really don't want to play another deck to maintain competitive play.
