The Dig: Cards that may NOT get noticed in Tachyon Galaxy!

Sadly, I did not get to attend Regionals in Akron, OH today, but I got bored and here is a list of nice cards I put together for you guys.

Tachyon Galaxy is a highly anticipated booster set that contained the Elemental Dragons, the 'end all' deck, but after buying around 50 booster packs, there are other gems that players may not have noticed. I have seen several cards that although can be situational, they can break the game wide open and hurt a lot of good decks.

When your opponent activates a monster effect: Detach 1 Xyz Material from a monster you control; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that monster.

Before the hate begins, reread the card! It's a counter trap for one, so Light and Darkness Dragon(LaDD) can NOT touch this card and I'm sure all/most E-Dragon decks will be maining 2-3 of them. Look at how many of the top decks in the meta run exceeds, so the cost should be easily paid. And one more thing, the monster effect can be anywhere for this card to hit it! Effect Veiler, Trag, Gorz, Abyssleed, Big Eye, Abyssmegalo, ANYTHING that would activate at ANY time. Even Honest can not get past this card. The only cards that would NOT get past this would be Constellar Pollux and Evilswarm Castor due to the new rulings implemented on them. This card can be so splashable in almost any deck and the best part is the last part of the card text: ...destroy that monster. This means Pandemic can't save Ophion and High Priestess can not be summoned from the hand! A lot of players don't know that she is summoned by an effect, so with this card, you stop the High Priestess from summoning! Don't overlook this card when looking at options for your deck!

During Main Phase 1, if the turn player successfully conducts their third Summon of a monster(s) this turn: It becomes the End Phase.

This card, in so many words, is simply amazing! For those who play anti-meta, main 3 of these immediately! First, look at the card. It's a Field Spell, so it doesn't clog up your S/T Zone. Second, look at how many summons need to be accomplished, 3, and be sure to notice that it is ANY summon. and lastly, look at the time, Main Phase 1. Now, apply this card into real world Meta and count how many summons most decks pull off or can pull off most of the time. Evilswarms can almost every turn get the 3 to do this if not more. E-Dragons, can get 3+ every turn. Mermails can do this at some times, and Spellbooks don't really summon a lot unless they are going to bring out High Priestess. To name of few other decks out in the upper tiers, Karkuri(any variant), Geargia(any variant), Constellars, Rabbit Variants, Dark Worlds, possible Harpies, Fire Fists, and Gadgets, ALL of these decks can be affected by this one card.

I know that when I was naming the list off, there are several decks that would have outs to this, not to mention MST and Heavy Storm in most/all decks. But look at what it can accomplish. If said decks do NOT have the out, you can put a stop on that players plays and protect all of your monsters. Take for instance, Evilswarm's typical first turn. Castor(1), <Level 4 Monster>(2), make Ophion(3). At this point, it is now the end phase! That means, no searching for Pandemic! You are now forcing your opponent to draw into it or wait a turn to search it out. If you had a f/d Compulsory Evacuation Device, they now have a no monster on the field.

Look at any deck that has to go into Synchroing or Exceeding. The decks have to successfully summon 3 times to do any set up or play. This puts an end to their turn which means that your monsters are safe from attacks. You are forcing a MST on this card, protecting your backrow. This card does affect you as well, but if you are playing anti-meta or build a deck around this card, you can put a huge WTF?!? on your opponent changing the pace of the game. I don't expect to see this a lot, but I'm sure a creative individual can make this a hindrance on many decks.

If your opponent controls a face-up Xyz Monster that has Xyz Material: Target 1 Xyz monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, then detach 1 Xyz Material from a monster your opponent controls and attach it to that monster as an Xyz Material. You can only activate 1 "Xyz Revenge" per turn.

This is Space Cyclone and XYZ Reborn rolled up into one card! Think of the applications of this card! All/Most decks run exceeds at this point and what better way to help get around them, then to take the material and get back one of your XYZs that can get the job done! Get back a Big Eye that your opponent killed or get back that Dracosack and spam the field. This card can lead to big pluses in the right scenario and also, help get around big threats. Pandemic can't save Ophion, so now you can summon whatever you want; I really don't like Ophion if you haven't noticed yet. Too many applications for this card and if you run XYZ Reborn, I would suggest running this in it's place or side this in game 2 or 3 to replace XYZ reborn. Think of all the decks that don't run exceeds; I'll wait.. There aren't any, so consider this gem for your deck building needs.

Hope you enjoyed this post. If you find anything else that may get overlooked, leave a comment and tell me about it.
