Oldie but still a goodie!

Hey guys, it's Dustin (xxL3st3r21xx). I've been into Yu-Gi-Oh! since I was really young; actually, I remember buying the Yugi and Kaiba structure decks from Wal-Mart back in the day! And it's been history since. My group of friends and I always hung out and played Yu-Gi-Oh for hours at my house or anywhere we could play really. It wasn't until here recently did we start actually playing competitively, start attending locals, and paying attention to the "BIG" decks around the YCS/regionals scene.

With all of that said, I would like to bring you guys a deck profile that was one of the "Big 3" last year. While it's lost some speed with the September 2012 and March 2013 F&L list, it's still viable and very playable. Without further ado, here's my take on Chaos Dragons (CDs):

I'm going to take a minute to explain some of my choices and why I'm running CDs the way that I am.
Monsters:
REDMD and Lightpulsar Dragon-Obviously a staple in CDs!
Darkflare Dragon-I run triple just to give Lightpulsar a target; it's also a Chaos monster that can be SS easily, not to mention the effect to drop a REDMD to the grave quickly, or even Eclipse Wyvern, and then banishing Wyvern with Darkflare's effect.
DAD-Easy grave manipulation.
Eclipse Wyvern-To add more consistency.
Lightsworn engine-Not much change beside 2 Jain. Jain is good in my opinion because he can run over things like Thunder King, Bear, etc. Not to mention that it mills 2 during End Phase.
Here's where I threw in a little twist:
Gallis the Star Beast-I was thinking that CDs operate similarly to Monster Mash. So why not get a milling effect plus some burn damage as well? You hit Trag, REDMD, or Gorz and they're already at least -1400. It  can and has been a great mid-game push. So you left your opponent at 600 LP? Drop Gallis, hit practically any monster, burn for game. No worrying about Mirror Force or Dimensional Prison.
Birdman-There's a nifty combo that allows you to reuse Gallis' effect with Birdman. SS Gallis, burn LPs, return Gallis to hand, SS Birdman, drop Gallis again. Then overlay for Zenmaines, Leviair, Leviathan, or Acid Golem for practically free!
Honest, Black Luster, Chaos Sorc, Gorz, Trag, Tour Guide and Card Trooper-Again, staples.
Necro Gardna-Kind of a different choice as well. Sometimes you leave your field open, or you opponent Dark Hole's and you're left with no protection, Necro Gardna can come in handy against that. Plus can be used as Chaos material.
The spells are staples in CDs as well.

Extra Deck:
Stardust Dragon-Extra destruction protection.
Scrap Dragon-For when you need to pop a card.
Gaia Knight-For lack of better level 6 Synchros
Black Rose-For when you need to "Watch the world burn"
Mist Wurm-To help get troublesome cards like Zenmaines off the field easily. It's incredibly easy to bring out as well. Birdman+Gallis+Card Trooper, Necro Gardna, Tour Guide, or another Gallis
Locomotion R-Genex-Definitely a game changer, especially when running Birdman. The only problem is that it requires a Level 6 DARK material, and the only way to fulfill that stipulation is Chaos Sorc. But SS Sorc, banish a monster, sync into Genex to take their big monster.
Gantetsu-For when you happen to have 2 Ryko's on the field
Utopia-To prevent attacks
Queen Dragun Djinn-A good combo is to bring out Queen, use effect to SS Lightpulsar, then when Lightpulsar gets destroyed, bring out Darkflare or REDMD.
Blackship-It's just Blackship
Maestroke-Extra protection
Zenmaines-Protection
Acid Golem-For those pesky monsters that have too much attack or defense.
Leviathan-Easy to bring out. 2500 beater
Leviair-To bring back any Level 4 or lower. Easy to bring out with the Gallis-Birdman combo. Bring back a Rescue Rabbit that your opponent used, summon a level 4, then overlay with their Rabbit.

This deck is actually pretty quick. Gets what it needs to get done. Try it out on Pro, or DN, you may like it! If you guys have a unique, or just plain awesome deck that you would like me to try out and provide a decklist and rationales behind why the cards are in there, just send me the deck list at xxL3st3r21xx@gmail.com. I love testing new, unique and fun decks. Thanks for reading guys! I hope to provide some more posts in the future!
